Meaning: Relatives of man from wife's side are dearest, mother's side relatives are bearable and father's side relatives are enemies.

My Take: In general financial adjustment have to be made with relatives from fathers side. So, for a man all disputes will be with them. Relations from wife's side generally supports their son in law in these matters as they have nothing to lose. So, they becomes dearest.
